Appearance

A male figure of indeterminable race as his head is hooded and his face is masked. He is clad head to toe in slate grey leather and silk armor with midnight blue trim and highlights. This armor is reinforced by armored articulated shin forearm and chest guards. The chest has silver embossing of the arcane symbol for unknown within a large circle. He wears several throwing knives in a belt holster. Sports one sheath on each hip constructed of ironwood; The right and longest depicting skulls of various sorts and the left depicts a waterfall with a mountain in the background.

History

The man known as the Grey Ghost is unknown to just about everyone in Archdale despite having attended the last 4 quest days and acquitting himself quite well. He has always appeared in town a few weeks before quest day and stays a few days after. Although not much is definitively know about him there is much speculation. Grey Ghost is reputed to be the spawn of a demon and a human, or a sentient zombie, a necromancers puppet, even a literal Ghost; depending on who you ask he might even be some combination of two or more of those things. What is known about Grey Ghost for certain is this he is reliable, trustworthy, and competent….but also somehow extremely forgettable.

Out-of-game

GG is a Rogue/fighter. Silent, deadly and precise He makes a wonderful addition to any group as he is decidedly good at teamwork. He views the group as a working whole and puts accomplishing mutual goals before any individual member including himself. Mechanically he carries a Rapier and a short sword, but they are in fluff short sickles like the ones used by Death in Darksiders II.

Goals

Short-Term-
Make money….lots of money!!!
Find a worthwhile group to make adventuring a full time occupation.

Long-Term-
Restore his families position and restore honor to his people.
Take over Archdale and control all crime in the city.

Items-
offensive and utility items will be a priority. I have no idea about specifics.

Retired Heroes

Played by Dave

Appearance

Standing just under 6' tall this wiry elf looks down-trodden, even beggar like. Despite being exceptionally thin, it's obvious he's used to extreme physical exertion, rock hard muscles stretch over his skeletal frame. A closely shaven scalp seems out of place on an elf while his pointed rust-red eyebrows reveal his Wood Elf heritage. Normally covered by ragged, unassuming robes, when faced with combat he strips down to just a pair of extremely loose, simple pants, revealing his bare torso. Marked from neck to waist in scars of all shapes and sizes, it becomes clear that this man has seen more punishment than anyone would care to imagine. While travelling he carries a simple brown backpack filled with his few necessities. Preferring to listen rather than speak, most people won't know the sound of his voice, but to those close to him, a soft yet deep and serious tone reinforces the harsh reality that this man has obviously known.

History

Other than simply a natural aversion to speaking much, if asked Zeraine will easily answer any questions about himself and his life. From his earliest memories Zeraine has lived and trained in a monastery. Being the only student there was extremely lonely and so Zeraine has adapted to be content in solitude and extremely uneasy in crowds or large groups. His life in the monastery was extremely strict and rigid, waking, eating, training and meditating at the same time every single day in order to keep mind and body in balance and harmony. Through disciplined mental training he has reached a level of mental skill that allows him to sustain himself on a very limited diet of oats and honey. He was sent out into the world to further develop his mental and physical prowess in hopes of reaching true enlightenment through physical and mental perfection. Only by testing himself in battle and experiencing and learning about the world can he truly understand himself and the world around him.

Out-of-game

Zeraine is a low-level Elven Monk on a journey of self-enlightenment through the Way of the Open Hand. He prefers to study his oponnent and his battleground thoroughly before engaging but can quickly adapt to whatever situation may arise. He carries a quarterstaff and uses it in conjunction with every part of his body in battle.

Goals

Short-Term-
1. Conquer any physical and/or mental trials before him.
2. Meet people to keep company with in order to learn about the way of the world.

Long-Term-
1. Reach true enlightenment.
2. Obtain a magical extra-dimensional space as part of normal clothing.

Items-
Zeraine cares little for material possessions though he does hope to make carrying his few possessions easier by obtaining some form of extra-dimensional space.
